“ECHO” is a Greek word meaning, “to have the means of” and is translated in 2 Corinthians 8:11 as “your ability” and in 2 Peter 1: 15 as “you are able”. 2 Corinthians 8:11 states, “So now finish doing it, that your enthusiastic readiness in desiring it may be equaled by your completion of it according to your ability and means .”

ECHO is the name given to Hillcrest’s program for students who have natural intellectual ability. These students are encouraged to not only be enthusiastic about learning, but to use their ability to follow challenging tasks through to completion and success. This aligns with the schools mission to prepare students for future success and to help equip them with skills so that they may commit themselves to action for a better society.
