Role of Student & Parent
The transformation of gifts into talents is affected by an array of catalytic variables. The student’s school learning environment plays a crucial role in this development, however it can be noted that teachers, school programs, activities and services are only some of the factors impacting a student’s transformation of gifts into talents.
Other environmental and interpersonal factors also affect a child’s developmental process. These include family relationships, background and experiences; student motivation, confidence, personality and volition; and time and chance. It is therefore important for all parties (student, parent, school and community) to be in joint partnership and to take joint responsibility for student progress. Open communication is essential.
