QCS Test Preparation
The Queensland Core Skills test is a 2 day, 7 hour program of testing that acts a scaling test between groups of students in different subjects with the College and between cohorts of Y12 OP eligible students in different schools through the state.
At Hillcrest, preparation begins with an orientation and preparation for the Multiple Choice (MC) papers through Term 4 of Year 11. Preparation for Short Response (SR) and Writing Task (WT) occur in the Personal Development periods of terms 1 - 3 in Year 12.
Materials Required:
MC (both papers): 2B pencils, Sharpener, araser (white gum) calculator, ruler, fluorescent marker
SR: Essential Equipment: Transparent container for equipment, Pens (black inck), pencil, protractor, drawing compass, eraser, coloured pencils, ruler, calculator.
Optional Equipment: set square, correcting fluid, template, pencil sharpener
WT: Pens (black ink), pencil, sharpener, eraser
