Conditions of Enrolment into Co-Curricular Programs

1.    Duration of a lesson (unless otherwise arranged) is 30 minutes

2.    A Small group lesson consists of two students sharing a ½ hour lesson. This is offered to beginners only, when appropriate pairing can be achieved. Not all instruments are included and must be negotiated with the tutor.

3.    Lessons will, in general be held during school hours. Preference for lessons outside school hours will be given to upper senior school students.

4.    Fees for lessons range from $20 to $25 and are payable a half term in advance, invoicing is done by the individual tutors. No rebate will be given should the student elect not to complete the term’s lessons.

5.    TERMINATION OF LESSONS

In the interests of the tutor, if lessons are to be discontinued at any time, the school requires:

Notice in writing from a parent or guardian at least 2 weeks prior to the end of school term.

6.    Notice of inability to attend a lesson – whilst every effort will be made to arrange catch up lessons for those missed through illness, it should be understood that this is not always possible unless a teacher is given 24 hours notice. Teachers are not bound to arrange catch up lessons cancelled on the day. If a student is absent for a pre-determined reason, as much notice as possible should be given to the tutor and the Performing Arts Administration to enable a suitable re-scheduling of that lesson.
