“It has been 3 years since I came to Australia and to Hillcrest at the same time. It was a huge challenge to decide to live away from my loving family and to have to fit into a place where I have not been before. However, the staff and students at Hillcrest have provided me with wonderful support, and have become my friends and family. I have thought of moving to a bigger school in the past, but I just couldn’t leave my friends here who have become such a big part of my life. Now I am in Year 12. It’s time to leave (I can’t believe it!!!). I will never ever forget the people I met at Hillcrest, as well as everything it has done for me. Hillcrest rules!”

The school is like a big family, because we all get to know each other. It’s not easy to find a good homestay who will really treat you as their child, but I’m really happy with my homestay. When I finish school, I would like to study fashion and beauty. Studying in Australia has meant that my English has improved and I have learnt to understand different cultures so that I can socialize with many different nationalities.”
