FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
“It has been 3 years since I came to Australia and to Hillcrest at the same time. It was a huge challenge to decide to live away from my loving family and to have to fit into a place where I have not been before. However, the staff and students at Hillcrest have provided me with wonderful support, and have become my friends and family. I have thought of moving to a bigger school in the past, but I just couldn’t leave my friends here who have become such a big part of my life. Now I am in Year 12. It’s time to leave (I can’t believe it!!!). I will never ever forget the people I met at Hillcrest, as well as everything it has done for me. Hillcrest rules!”

“When I came to Australia I didn’t expect the people to be so inviting and friendly. It is truly a great country to study in. There are so many opportunities available for tertiary studies and traineeships, and I have been able to study a large variety of courses here. I am sure that I will find myself just the right career path in which I can be both happy and successful.

“ Australia is a wonderful country and I have liked living here. It has been a good experience and I have learnt to speak English as a result. When I leave school I hope to become involved in politics.”

“At Hillcrest, even though it is a small school compared to schools in my country, the teachers are very nice, every one of them. The school is like a big family, because we all get to know each other. It’s not easy to find a good homestay who will really treat you as their child, but I’m really happy with my homestay. When I finish school, I would like to study fashion and beauty. Studying in Australia has meant that my English has improved and I have learnt to understand different cultures so that I can socialize with many different nationalities.”
